This tutorial explains the process used to map joystick,
envelope detector and MIDI input device events to a
plugin's parameters. Note that some MIDI-specific aspects
are covered instead in the MIDI tutorial.

________
To edit the mappings for a plugin's parameters, click it's
'Mappings' button in the main window:

This will open the Mappings dialog, which lets you set up
various different kinds of mappings:

________
We will ignore the 'Add MIDI' button, and focus on the 'Add
Parameter' button for this tutorial. Clicking it brings up
the following dialog, which lets you set up a mapping:
<img=docs/images/parameter3.png>
Starting from the left:
- The first control is specific to joystick mappings - if
you have more than one joystick connected to the system,
this lets you select which one will be used for this
  particular mapping.
- The second 'click me' control lets you select which kind
of input event it is you're going to be using as the
  mapping's source:

Clicking it brings up a big list of possible choices.
The first 14 choices are joystick-specific (note that
most joysticks will not support the full range), and
refer to particular controls on the joystick. The
'Envelope Detector' entry refers to an audio envelope
detector that is present at the input of all plugins in
the Pedal Board. You can use it to create auto-wah-type
effects. The three MIDI entries allow you to map MIDI
messages from your selected MIDI input device to the
plugin's parameters. Note that these mappings will
always be active regardless of how the 'Accept MIDI
  Input' toggle is set.
- The next two controls let you set the minimum and maximum
range for the mapping, respectively. Note that these can
be reversed, to invert the mapping.
- The final control lets you select which parameter on the
plugin will be controlled by the mapping. Note that all
plugins will have 2 parameters at the bottom ('Mix (npb)'
and 'Bypass (npb)') which let you control the Mix and
Bypass parameters the Pedal Board provides.

________
When you have set up the mapping, click OK to add it to the
Mappings dialog's list:

Note that you can remove mappings by selecting them (seen
above) and clicking the 'Remove' button.

When you are satisfied with your mappings, click OK to
commit them to the plugin.
